SITUATION IN
UGANDA

THE DISTRESS .
The Republic of Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa whose capital is the city of Kampala and is one of the poorest countries in the world.
Almost 50% of the population in Uganda are children. There is insufficient access to education, medical care and, for many children, insufficient protection against abuse.
If you haven't seen it with your own eyes, you can hardly imagine the inhumane conditions in which many children in Africa, especially in Uganda, are growing up. There are large numbers of single mothers who can barely raise enough money to support themselves, as well as millions of orphans whose parents have died from various diseases. Many of these children are taken in by relatives whose financial resources are not sufficient to enable the child to get an education. Many live in mud huts without adequate food, electricity or water.
Homeless children, in most cases, are exposed to many dangers. In addition, they are not protected by police officers and other officials, but rather threatened. This is a big problem in Uganda, as these children do not seek protection from the authorities, but are rather afraid of them. Living on the streets, these children run the risk of becoming victims of violence, forced drug use or even sexual harassment.
In order to survive and to get food, they have to work, for example, as temporary workers or salesmen, which often means little money for many hours of strenuous work. Selling your own body to survive is also not uncommon.
These children have no access to education or housing.
However, this need does not go unseen in the eyes of our Heavenly Father. He gave Julius and his sister a heart for these children, so they willingly work day by day to help at least a few children and give them a chance for a better childhood and a better future.
We, as a charity here in Germany, would like to support this work from the bottom of our hearts and are happy about everyone who would like to help.
