HOW EVERYTHING BEGAN .
Julius Bukenya and his sister Ester lost their parents in an accident when they were young. In order to be able to provide for himself and his sister, Julius set up a coffee shop with some difficulties.
During this time he already had a heart for the children on the street, who often came to him to ask for his help. He began to offer them one meal a day. In 2015 he lost his business due to some unfavorable circumstances. This distressing situation led him to seek God. His sister had already converted to Christianity. Julius also found peace with God and together they started going to church.
The two were very moved by the need of the children on the street and they decided to take in two or three children. It didn't stop there as more and more kids started knocking on their door. Even the doctor in the village brought an orphan boy who had been operated on to him.
When he met his current wife Valentina Enns in 2017, they now had 25 children to look after. Valentina traveled there after getting to know each other to get an idea of the situation.
Julius and Valentina decided to get married in 2018 and continue this work together for the glory of God.
They then had the opportunity to buy an acre of land where they grew beans, corn, potatoes, yams and many fruit trees themselves. In 2019 they were able to rent a small house. They received €10,000 from a private donor, which was invested in a well on the site, a pigsty and a chicken coop with a living space for the gardener.

WHAT WE
DO
The christian association Help Poor Kids Foundation Germany e.V. was founded in 2021 by seven people who have been supporting the orphanage in Uganda since 2018. The orphanage in Uganda, based in Kampala - Katooke, consists of a small family-run organization, the Help Poor Kids Foundation. We as a team in Germany have decided to support children in great poverty in Uganda.
The primary goal is to offer the children an education, daily care and accommodation so that they can have a good future later on.
OUR GOAL .
Our support consists of the following:
school supplies
shoes, clothes
nutrition
medical care
to build/buy a dormitory with a school together for the children
ideally close to the purchased land where we grow our agricultural products
In order to be able to maintain the care of 24 children, we need resources that we cannot manage with our own financial strength. Therefore, we present here the most urgent projects for which we currently lack the funds. If you're passionate about donating to a cause, feel free to do so here .
